How to build front SBC engine mounts
Since I have no real work, due to this economic mess, I have taken a bit of time to post something that may benefit all of you who were wondering how to mount a small block chev engine into your model A, (or any hotrod, for that matter). The following attachment shows the mounts and how I build them.

First of course, you will want to build the portion of the mount that bolts to the side of the engine---

Then you will need to build the plates that attach to the frame---

And this is how it goes together---

Brian,
That's really nice work. You could always start making Hot Rod parts for some extra work.

Ken---Thanks for the compliment. As far as making hotrod parts is concerned---Yes, I could make them, but at the rate I work, it would probably earn me about 11 cents an hour. My main forte' is design, and I probably better stick to it.---BrianOld guy hot rodder

Here are some shots of the engine mounts on my roadster pickup when I was building it 5 years ago.

And now, on to the rear tranny mounts (If you are using an automatic tranny).

And one last drawing, with a bit of critical information. Remember--this is what worked for me---and worked extremely well. You may have done something different, and been succesfull with what you did. I don't want to hear why this won't work, because I built my car 5 years ago, and have been driving it ever since. You can build your particular car with whatever wheelbase, fan type, or custom frame that you want. I don't want to know. again--This is what worked for me.
