I have a Saginaw unit on my 34 and a MII power rack. I use a stock Chevy 350 mounting bracket, but an after market bracket may work as well (like an Alan Grove unit). Mine is mounted low on engine (below the Alt). If you use a GM pump remember to get a adjustable pressure valve to alleviate the greater pressure put out by the GM unit. There are several available from Summit, Jegs, Heidt's, Speedway, etc. You could also consider a pump with a remote reservoir if space is a problem.Bob

Started this thread a while back and decided to revisit making the conversion in time for the summer. Just wanted to see if anyone had anything to add.
Currently, my alternator is low on the driver's side and my compressor is low on the passenger's side. The alternator won't be tough to move higher, if it comes to that.Last edited by bulldogcountry1; 01-07-2011 at 07:11 AM. Reason: added info
