putting mag wheels on front of a stock 1950 chevy with drum brakes

I was wondering about the rivets on the front brake drums of my 50,I have recently purchased a set of American Racing Torq Thrust Wheels.,the rivets that hold the hub to the drum are not allowing a fit up against the drum. I was wondering if the rivets can be removed or if spacers are my only option.

Grind 'em flush. The drums aren't going anywhere with the wheels bolted on!
