19 36 chevy axle ?'s
I want to keep the stock axle in my 36 chevy pickup, but I want to run disc brakes also, what spindal do I need? car spindals? 47-54 pickup spindals, Do I need custom made parts to do it? I Know there are IFS out there but I want the gasser look

Why not just use what you have? ECI and others make kits for your truck.

I have a 36 sedan and I got a conversion set from Master Power Brakes. The only problem was the brackets they supplied did not fit the car. They told me on the invoice, I had to get a new spindal from a 37 I believe. I just built a new bracket. I made a template from the bracket they sent out of clear plastic. I then cut it to fit the car. I then had a pattern to make a metal bracket from.

I have seen some budget conversions using the brackets you can buy from suppliers for dirt track roundy round cars. I got my brackets and metric gm calipers for about $100. It takes a little modifying to make them fit. My friend is running them on the front of his 37 Ford pickup with S10 hubs.rotors. He just had to machine a spacer for the spindle. Mine are on an econoline axle and I found Crown Vic rotors fit on my hubs. Less than $250 into the front brakes with brake lines and all. And that's new parts, no junkyard stuff.
