brush guard
Ok, so I think I have something worthy to post on this forum:
BEHOLD... the brush guard for the oil cooler on my 64 C10
I've been on the lookout for some scrap at work to make the brush guard. Was hoping for some expanded steel. Then, I saw someone had trashed a three-foot diameter fan shroud. PERFECT. So, I welded a frame, welded the shroud to the frame, and then cut it out. got it done, and said.. this needs a spider! Beat the spider body out of a trashed piece of 14GA stainless, then grabbed a piece of stainless conveyor belt ( 1/8" rod ) for the legs. Tigged the legs on the spider, then migged the legs onto the shroud. A little black Krylon and volia!.
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
