    front axle panhard bar question

My 32 Ford roadster has a Bell 4" dropped front axle with a panard bar. I had an incident and am now replacing the axle with a new Pete and Jakes axle. Problem: the new axle does not have the stud on the front passenger side to bolt the panhard bar to. The car drove and handled great. Question: Do you have to have a panhard bar? Is it neccesary? I know what it does. The axle is already painted, so I really don't want to weld a stud on. What do ya'll think I should do? Thanks Edd

If you have a four bar front end, they make a bracket that bolts onto the right side 4 bar bracket. I bought a complete front end kit from Posies and it came with the bracket.

Thanks Sean, my issue is when I built the car my panhard bar had a stud welded to the front of the axle, so my bracket is welded to the bottom of the frame on the drivers side. I appreciate your suggestion. I think I may have worked something out. Edd
