    Tube axle front end

How do you adjust a chrome front tube axle? I just put new tires on and have about 1200 miles and the out side on the tires are worn out already. Some one said heat and bend it. I think that would ruin the chrome? Thanks for the help!

Always "Think about the easy things first". Have you checked and set the toe in?

You can change the camber by bending the axle on a front end rack "if necessary". Changing the caster depends on how the system was originally built.

Never thought to check toe in. Didn't think that would wear the outer edge of the tires. Thanks will check that ASAP. Also check to see if there is a good front end shop near by. Someone that knows about tube axles.

Do you have the right spindles on it??there are spindles of different angles from those years that can be mixed up

You probably have too much castor and toed out which will wear outside of tires

Don't know what spindles are that's on it. Or if they are the right ones. Someone else put it together(what a Laugh). So I'm out on a limb here. All I know is that it takes a GM rotor and caliper. Had to replace all that too. Sorry, it took so long getting back. Ordered a long block ( because the motor was such a great one and ran so great) ,(another laugh)started putting it in and had to pull it because it had 2 different heads on it. Great quality control? Not been a good 5 days!

Wrong Toe will wear tires faster than camber ever will and castor unless in an extreme case will not cause tire wear.
