Crossfire engine for '31 Ford
I've got a chance to get a newly rebuilt 5.7 Crossfire engine out of a '84 Corvette. I'd like to have the motor but would like to convert it to a Edlebrock manifold and carb since that year crossfires has a bad rep. Anyone know what sort of problems or changes I'd need to make such as ignition, fuel pump, etc.

I would just get a different engine ,unless that one is cheap ,the whole deal with those is the cross fire setup, other than that ,it`s just a 350.......
My buddie had one of those motors ,he had very few problems with it ........but he just drove it ,never did any upgrades for power. Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

As I seem to recall, the biggest problem with the 'cross die' motors was their tendency to suck up large amounts of water in a downpour due to the intake configuration..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
