Where does one dispose of old gas?
My camaro has like half a tank of old gas in it that I do not want to pump thru my new motor. The car has an existing in line fuel pump under the car that I plan on putting power to in order to empty the tank. Where should I throw away all of this gas? Could be 8 gallons.

I bought a project that sat for 4yrs w/20gallons in the tank. I mixed it about 4 new gas to 1 gallon of old gas & burned it in my 84 Suburban w/o problems...joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

Flush it down the toilet.................JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!! Most towns have amnesty days where you can turn in old gas, oil, pesticides, etc. and there is no penalty on you for having them. If the gas is only a year or so old you could do the mixing routine with new gas, but for $ 20 worth of gas it may not be worth the damage it might do to your engine, such as plugging the carb or injectors. Gas today gets real bad real fast.

Smell the gas and make sure it's still gas before using it in anything.

Many years ago in my mis-spent youth, I was at a little country bar in the North Carolina backwoods with some friends. I was already halfway in the bag when some guy came in with a jug. He filled a bar glass half full and I drank it. That's the last I remember until I woke up freezing at 5:30 in the morning, in the back seat of somebody's car, in front of an old ramshackle house that I didn't recognize.

When I worked at CARMAX here in Austin...we were told that if we had bad gas in a vehicle [water,or diesel in gas] by management to put it in the wholsale cars that were sold at auction.
