Budget rear end
Well, I am trying to finish up my camaro for the most part this weekend. I am fairly confident that my rear end is a 2.73 one wheeler. I wanted to have a good rear end built whith 3.73s and a posi unit, but I am running very close to the ceiling on my budget, at least for now.(gotta let the bank account recover a little before my young wife divorces me)
My buddy has a 3.08 rear end from his car that he would probably part with cheap or free for me. Would this ratio help at all? I would like to have the rear end out anyway so that I can drop the tank and clean it out. I will also be bending my fuel line tank to pump for the first time. Any tips on that would be great also. I have a 5 speed if that matters.
The first model car I built was a 32 Ford roadster by Revell in the mid 50's.
How did you get hooked on cars?
