    if I had to make a guess when somebody took the point dist out and put the h.e.i. in they needed a keyed 12v. supply because the original wire was a niachrome resister wire so they took it off the wiper motor because its hot when the key is on. the wiper switch turns the ground of and on in g.m. if it was my car I would run a 12 or 14 gage wire from the ign sw. to the h.e.i. but that's just my opinion and I could be wrong and frequently am just ask my wife she'll tell you......ted

    Well just wanted to thank everyone for helping me again, I got the car running today and man did it feel good to hear it running.
