Chevy rally center ( derby) caps

Anyone know how to keep my new wheel vintique chevy rally caps from exiting the vehicle at normal highway speeds. I installed new wheel vintique 15x7 rally wheels with corresponding beauty rings and center caps. Twice, I have spun off the center caps from each rear wheel and at 57 bucks a pop it's beginning to p##s me off. Wheel vintiques was little help when i called them. The caps seem to pop on very snugly. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is this yet another example of inferior chinese crap? Thanks for help

That would be my guess, either that or the lip on the rim and/or the cap might be off a bit where the 2 meet...joe

I've had 'em fall off on a rough road. These are GM wheels and caps. The caps are too heavy and stick out too far, a "corduroy" road is too much for them. Oh, well, I think they're ugly anyway! I have 5 wheels and only two caps left.

I put over 75,000 on my 40chevy w/this style rim/cap set up & never lost a cap & that was 10yrs ago & the new owner still has them on the car still today. I guess we were just lucky. I'll still say it's that cheap Chinese junk but good luck find a good USA made set w/o paying through the nose....joe

I've run OEM caps thousands of miles on my 40 and a 68 chevy truck with rally wheels and had no problems. Import stuff just doesn't hold the tolerances that OEM does. Look at swap meets or at siteslike this for some OEM.
It's easy..Just ask someone that hasn't ever done it!
    See ya on the road.
