    Should I use loctite on the steering joint set screws?

    you should spot were the set screws are with a spade drill in to the shaft then use a thread locker on sets

    Just so you know in case you plan to make a pass at Firebird.....
    2009 NHRA Rulebook:
    General Regulations 3.3, Steering....
    ".....All fasteners must be of a positive nature; no roll or pressed pins, no ball lock pins, set screws, etc."

    We require all joints to be equipped with through-bolts and nuts on all connections except the pinion shaft of the R&P (either that or welded 360). The pinion shaft connection is allowed a set screw with locking nut.
