    Aftermarket AC

I'm looking into an aftermarket AC unit and was wondering if anyone one has used the any Hotrod Air products.

Primarly what I'm looking for is any feed back on how the company is to deal with and any comments on the quality of the products (especially their elite series of evaporators).

Hey Mike, I assume you mean Hotrod Air http://www.hotrodair.com/
I bought their Elite Deluxe package for my 37 Ford a year or so ago. I don't have it running yet but I have fitted parts of it into my car. It seems to be good quality and they have been very helpful when I call or email with questions. A couple of other guys I know recommended them to me.
    Hope that helps a little.

Thanks for the input Randy, yes I meant Hotrod Air. Guess I need to check my quick posts a bit closer.

Mike, you didn't say what kind of vehicle you were going to put this in but there is another company Classic Auto Air http://www.classicautoair.com/ that has a "Perfect Fit" AC series for various pre-70's cars that is supposed fit in place of the factory heater and look like it came that way. I hear they are supposed to be good too. And of course, there's always Vintage Air who has been around a long time. You may know all this stuff already but I'm just throwing it out there in case you don't.

Stay away from Southern Air. A friend installed two units in a 40 chevy for a guy. The guy bought Southern air because it was cheaper. He had trouble with both units. I have installed Hot Rod Air and Vintage Air in cars for others. Had no problem with either. I prefer Vintage Air. Good luck...
It's easy..Just ask someone that hasn't ever done it!
    See ya on the road.
