Its about time...
I was thinking back to my greetings to newer CHR members and realizing that while I was encouraging them to post photos, the only time that I posted was to help me ask questions!
So I figured that I would show this weekends efforts to complete my 69 el camino.
This weekend was spent getting the dashboard ready for installation. Many bumbs/questoins/concerns were encountered and I did not finish the job this weekend. But the weather was great and folks dropped by to check out the progress (or lack thereof!)
Anyway, I did finish the dash connections and got them labeled.
Also labeled and fitted connectors to the Painless system in the car.
But then the dinner bell rang and schedules just faded away. One of these days I will tell more of the story of getting this rig back on the road.
The last photo shows the effect of using dollies...and park my wifes mustang in the garage!
Enjoy!...at least I'm enjoying the ride!

Jesus!! I'll never again complain about limited work space in my garage, thats tight. And yet you are putting together a nice looking car. Where there's a will there's a way, great job!!!Tomorrow is promised to no one.

It's a beaut alright! I have to ask - the paint on the floor looks real close to the color on the El Camino - does this mean you shot that bad boy in your garage as well??"Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil

Oldschool...Yes I thought that shot would get some comments. Either about the tight quarters or the the messy bench!
rc57...Thanks for the compliment, it is turning out better than I hoped, now if I can just get finished!!!!
glennsexton...Absolutely!! That is a super secret mix of Kandy Kolors and even though I thought I covered the floor, well you spotted it. If you look around outside of the photo area you can also see primer, sealer and the pure red from when we (my son and I) painted his '48 Chebbie 5 window pickup truck
My wife says that my next project after this is to cover the floor with an epoxy or something like that...riiiiiight...at least I'm enjoying the ride!

Well Glenn, judging from the look of the floor under the car that would be a great trade!!!
...as long as I didn't have to divulge my super secret Kandy Kolor mix!!!
But I will be coming back to my home state in the not too distant future to visit family and friends. I'm originally from Eugene and have lived up and down the valley from Eugene to Hillsboro to Corvallis!!!
It could happen!...at least I'm enjoying the ride!
Thank you Roger. .
