I have no experience with wrap but have heard where it promotes rusting of the headers. Something about header manufacturers voiding their warranty if you do it because of that problem. Just what I've heard and don't know if that would be a problem for you or not.

Don is correct on the rusting issue (I know first hand). Not saying not to do it just wanted to let you know.

You might get ahold of the MFG and see what they say.
I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

I've used it for years and no problems. If you're getting your headers wet and leaving them that way yes, it will lead to rust problems. If you wash your engine start it up after and let them dry out. Header rust anyway wrapped or not.

But it will reduce under hood temperature significantly.

Not if they are ceramic coated like Jet Hot or similar.

Soak the wrap tape in warm water, then wrap the tubes real tight, use the ss zip ties at start and stop points, let them dry, install and run them.

It's not that bad. Sanderson is recoating mine that they did 20 years ago, only charging me $ 150.00. I'm kinda disappointed that they started looking not new after only 20 years !
