    drag car seats and harnesses

Hey guys, on the new project want to make sure that whatever I do is with mind to going to the track later. the bucket seat that is in the car now doesn't look like provision for harness. was thinking of replacing with something like this:

My concern is, I'm a big guy, my uncle who will also drive it is even bigger (he's 325lbs), I don't usually like seats that come in on the sides like this, feel cramped. are there other options that aren't super pricey? (cheaper than this would be even better )

Also, harness, is something like this the way to go?

Looks like that one I can just put around the bar in the roll cage that's crosses below shoulder level. do harnesses come in different sizes, or will this fit somebody my uncles size?

    Muchisimas Gracias companeros.

Do not purchase "racing" seat belts until you are actually going to use them because they are date coded (they only have a two year "dated life"). You need to make sure they are installed "as per NHRA" current spec. Note that NHRA rules seems to set the safety standards for many other racing sanctions.

The SCAT pro car seats are not racing seats IMO. They are more of a comfort seat for street or off road applications. Kirkey is the seat of choice. They also make seats up to 18" wide for the big boys. The seat needs to be securely mounted to the cage/roll bar.

Well I want comfort, since most of the driving will be done on the street, 18" isn't wide enough for my shoulders. my wife found an extra wide cot at walmart one time, was all excited. I said,"really? hold it up to my back", both shoulders hung off the sides. I'm not a football player or anything, but not small either. I hate feeling pinched.

what do I do for seatbelts then if I don't want to use these? that's crazy that guys just replace them every 2 years.
