Summit sells Dakota Digital's which are made by Rostra (they make them for a couple of others as well). Lokar makes an aftermarket cable that can be sized which the supplied can't. I just installed one in my '31 'A' roadster but haven't taken it on the road yet. A friend has that same set up in a '32 coupe and loves it. The unit can be installed under the dash, but it does take some room and planning. The wiring is fairly complicated, but with some thought, can be done in a few nights as the instructions are not the best. As far as trying to adapt one from a car - probably not a good idea - you have no technical support nor any wiring diagram. Also, a unit pirated from a car - probably computer controlled. I need to take some photos of the interior assembly, but the top cable is the cruise, then the throttle rod, and the bottom is the transmission kick down. The bracket is a combo of Lokar and mine bolted together.
