These are cool, but we would get arrested up here in Michigan.

DDLs
..It has become nearly impossible to drive the rural roads in this neck of the woods because of DDLs. ...Its bad enough with FoMoCo built trucks with their high intensity head lights but add DDLs and its blare city either from the front or rear..And since these urbanite transplants think they own the road and tail gate you ...you spend half your trip pulling over to let them go by...BUT.!!....If I add driving lights to my 72 Chev truck and blind THEM it is not legal because they are not OEM.!!... ......The young cops I know are convinced that people that drive older vehicles that are not up to urbanite standards are weekend beer drinkers and or pot smokers especially pickup trucks in progress..(unpainted...primer spots..etc)......So If you add DDLs or fog lights it is nothing more than a red flag for the gestapo to hassle your freedom....Add the fact you are middle aged......have a beard......wearing a baseball cap...etc.....you are doomed......Excuse me while I go work on my giant cannon that I have aimed at Olympia Washington that will bring the message home.....The cylinders have to be inline.!!!

I visited the webpage of the city I live in (OKC OK) and there are no ordinances or municipal codes that limit, restrict, or outlaw the use of under vehicle lighting or accessory lighting of any kind.
http://www.thecityofoklahomacity.com...-cityhall.org/
I also started checking several other states and the us dept of transportation and California has a vehicle code limiting the intensity to a specific brightness (VEHICLE CODE SECTION 25100-25110 ) and a vague law on the USDOT books limiting the use of forward facing blue flashing lights that are mounted either in the grille or on the roof of the vehicle.
I am sure that the laws for every city and state are different, but the under lighting poses no safety hazard, does not distract or blind oncoming traffic any more than custom car or truck does, and accent and highlight a vehicle.
At the 2003 SEMA show I spoke with Hoppy Hopkins, the designer of the Hopster style of wheels, and he liked them so much that he put them on the American Racing show car!!!
I think there is a lot of the hysteria and misinformation concerning under vehicle lighting, I have had green neon under lighting on my chevy truck for about a year with no problems with the police and I plan on ordering a set of hublites tomorrow.
The police can pull you over for just about anything, no seatbelts, spot inspection on your vehicle, ect, ect, ect.

I seriously doubt if hublites or any under vehicle / accessory lighting are illegal in NY, I have driven my truck around the country working as a welder and I have never been pulled over for the green neon under my truck, as a matter of fact when I pull into a convenience store to get gas I usually get compliments from the officers who are there getting coffee.
I am sure that in regards to this topic you have no idea what you are talking about.

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
