Daughter had a small no damage fender bender,both air bags deployed cracking the windshield . Mechanic put car on lift and sees no damage ,windshield replacement will be 175.00 . Tires are almost new and car was running fine b fore accident. Insurance co is going to total it and she will get 1800.00 , which wont buy her much , certinaly not as good as she allready had. She can buy it back for 209.00 . I'm going to state DMV tomorrow to see whats involved with getting a new title on a car that has been totaled . Have searched around and there seems to be different opinions on the air bags . She can not afford to have them replaced and I'm sure the air bag replacement cost is why they are totaling it . Any body had any experience with air bags not being replaced being a problem .
