Go to your local NAPA dealer and get one of the valves that is used in a pick up truck with dual gas tanks. These things have 3 ports on them---one is for the "fuel exiting". One is for fuel entering when the electric solenoid valve is NOT energized. The other is for fuel entering when the electric solenoid IS energized. The theory is that in normal conditions, fuel runs from tank number 1 thru the valve to the fuel pump, carb, or whatever. When tank number 1 gets close to empty, you turn on an electric switch which passes current to the valve, causing it to shift and allow fuel flow from the other tank. They work great---I know because I installed one in my roadster pickup to prevent fuel in the tank (which sets in the back of the bed, higher than the carburetor) from filling the engine with gasoline when the float sticks!!!--They are inexpensive, and would work great as an anti theft device with a hidden switch. If you are really interested, do a search under my name--I did a big article on it here a couple of years ago.---Brian
