    I'd say that puppy got just a wee bit hot. Good thing it didn't do any major damage. Amp gauges are a pain in the rear.

    That is precisely the reason most, if not all, current cars don't have em. Simply too much current being carried through them and too much chance of them shorting out. Volt meters are so much safer, and give you better data too.

    Glad you didn't have worse damage.

    That thing was laying right against the dash. Sure glad the dash is wood.
