What kind of 2bbl carb is this and what size jets should it have. Runs lean?

Hi guys. I have a 2 BBL carb on my SBC 350. It says GM Made in USA, BC. My passengers side seems to be running lean. My plugs are white on the tips and my passengers side exhaust manifold is pretty white in color compared to my drivers side which is the usual brown. The car runs good but I think it is too lean and was wondering if I richen the idle mixture screws will that richen it enough or do I need to change the jets on it? If so what jets should it have stock and what jet size should I get for it? Where can I buy jets for it?

    Thanks.

whats the rubber looking material in the pic

Is the carb on the vehicle or sitting on a bench?

If you have a 180* stock type manifold, the mixture will effect the 2 end cylinders on one side and the two middle cyl on the other side.

If stock type set up does the engine have stock exhaust with a heat riser valve between the exhaust manifold and pipe???

Hi. It is a stock 2bbl GM intake manifold. It is on the car. My exhaust manifold rises up toward the valve covers. It looks like a M shape. Not sure what kind they are.

From the picture it looks like a Rochester 2G carb to me, and it also looks like it needs rebuilt. I'd soak it and put a kit in it, gas mileage increase alone would probably pay for the kit. This particular carb is about as simple as they get to freshen up. Looks like the triangular metal little id tag is gone, so take the carb to the parts store with you.

    Don

Here is a site that might help you id it from the numbers stamped on the side of the bowl or housing:
