Really need help- blower motor and alternator
I have just put a 350 blower motor in my 32 Ford. I bought a low mount (Drivers side) alternator mount from Jegs. I also bought a full sized alternator.
Here is the mount.

I went to mount them and the mount is fine, but the alternator is too deep/thick and the rear of it hits my Vega Steering Box that mounts to the frame.
I assume I am needing a mini alterntor? Do any of you know where I can get one OR a new type of bracket that will allow for full sized alternator to be mounted down there in the same spot?
Much thanks!32 Ford

There are smaller alternators that may fit. One is the Denso but problem may be the belt. Most of them are meant for serpentine belt and not a V belt. I would call a local shop that rebuilds alternators, they may be able to help.

Sounds like you are going to have to buy another mount and a mini, if you are going to mount it low. You could alwyas go back to the stock location. I have the same mount too. Nice mount for the money. I think mini alternators have the same mounting points? Call Jegs or summit and ask them.1930 model a , 1953 ford truck

I have mine mounted on the bottom right side of my motor with a full size alternator. I made my own bracket, it's pretty simple. On the bottom is a adjuster bracket that looks like a factory radius arm. Make sense?
