Now that you mention it, I don't think he has been around for a while. I forget what his user name was. I wanted to see when his last post was. Hope he is ok. I like him too and always enjoyed chatting with him.
Maybe someone on here knows.

He goes by the name of oldrodder43 I think. He was building a 1929 Essex.
Been wondering what he has done over the winter. I sent him a wiring harness back in the fall he was needing to complete his steering column. Hope hes ok too.70-71 Vietnam Vet, 1959 born again child of God

Yep, that is his username. I checked and he last posted on 2/14/10. This gets so scary when we don't hear from someone for a while..........especially one who had been so active posting like Perley. God knows we have lost so many good friends on here in the past.
Sure hope someone knows him and can get in touch.

I just thought of something. Don't the moderators have all of our email addresses from when we registered? Bill?Last edited by Itoldyouso; 04-29-2010 at 04:57 PM.

I just got a forwarded message (one of those semi-religious good luck chain e-mails) from Perley this evening, so I guess he's OK. The winters are long and cold up where he lives and his "garage" is just an unheated canvas covered framework, so maybe he hasn't been able to do anything he considers "post worthy". I'll send him a direct message and rattle his chain; maybe he'll give us an update.Jim

Better not break that chain..........pox and pestilence befall those who don't keep it going.
Glad to hear Perley seems to be ok. Let us know if you hear from him, please Jim. Thanks for letting us know.

Thanks to you faithful to be worrying about me! I'm still around, though not active in ANYTHING. Darn Depression been getting me again, even though I take medication twice a day. As far as the project, nothing to report since last November or whenever. My oldest Grandson has a car now, '82 Camaro, in need of a lot, so he has been occupying the garage, which has been OK with me as I wasn't earning any money so had none to buy parts with. I have been helping a friend with some electrical work in a new house part time, so I have been earning a little for last three weeks, but it doesn't go far after all winter off. We have existed on my wife's meager earnings as school cook. And my SS check which keeps the house payment current, thank the Lord. And as Larry said, he graciously sent me a whole wiring harness for a Ford Ranger to fit my steering column. Many thanks Larry my Friend. And thanks to Don and Jim for inquiring after me too. I guess I have been remiss in not sending notes in to keep people posted on progress, or lack of it. You guys are true Friends. Thanks loads. PerleyToo old to work, Too poor to quit.

Really glad to hear from you again Perley. You were always one of the people I look forward to shooting the breeze with. Hope things get better for you, I know from experience life can get to a person sometimes, but you have a lot of friends on here who miss you when you aren't around.
Keep checking in Bud,
