    Need Electrical Question Answered

I am in the final wireing of my 49 Ford F-1 Hemi Swap. Got what "MAY" be a simple question. On the wiring schmetic below it states that one wire goes from the ballast Resister to the Starter Relay. I am not running a Starter Relay so can I hook this wire to any keyed hot source? Thanks Roland

The wire at the ballast resistor to the starter relay is only there to provide 12 volts to the ignition coil while cranking only. So basically don't hook it to anything unless your gonna wire it per the diagram.

I hear you Louey, but this thing needs to get power from somewhere. Is the wire that says " To The Starter relay" the power source for the module?

Louey, Thanks for that last diagram, that did it. The one wire that you show going to the "Ballast Resisiter" that is labled "RUN" was what had me puzzled. I knew that the Module needed to get its power from somewhere, and in my poor old frazzled brain I simple couldn't get passed that point. I was aware of the need for a FULL 12 volts during cranking, but sense that is a momentary thing used only during cranking I needed to get it straight were the "Run" power came from. Thanks again!!

By the way the Hemi, a 330 inch Desoto, fired up on the first attempt and purred like a kitten, and I gotta tell you that felt real good. A simple engine swap from a 351 W to the new Hemi has turned into a complete truck rebuild, something I never had planned on. To hear it fire to life was better than I had ever hoped for.

"......To hear it fire to life was better than I had ever hoped for......"

There is something about an old Hemi in a Ford truck of that era that is just so right.
I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....
