I need to shorten the tubes, do I have to cut them off, or is there another way to remove the old tube to get the part out of the pumkin. I plan on buying new tube from currie

Why do you need to replace the tubes??? The housing ends can be carefully taken off the ends of the tube with a grinder and reused, or you can buy new housing ends a number of places. Also, what kind of fixture/jig will you be using when you put the housing back together?
