I bought it. Paid more than I thought I would ever pay for an intake! I've never seen a Shelby cross ram! I've seen a Cobra duals cross ram, but, not a Shelby! The previous owner said he spoke with someone "in California" and supposedly they told him that maybe 25 were cast. It does say Baddy Bar on it also. Reportedly they also offered to purchase it when he was ready to part with it. Well we all know that and a dollar will get you a coffee! LOL
He was packing up the family for a move to Florida and was cleaning house. He also had a lot of Boss Parts, 302, 351 and 429! He was a retired parts manager from the Ford distribution center for New England. We talked for hours!!

Sounds like a neat piece. Wonder if Mickey Thompson had something to do with that project?
Just for fun you should put it up on ebay with a very high reserve and see what kind of bids you pull (though this isn't the best time of year for the most eyes). Relatively cheap and reliable appraisal service.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

That would be Buddy Bar, I believe, an aluminum sandcasting company. What are you going to put it on?Jack

Well, after seeing a picture it's nothing like the M/T stuff so answered my own question with a simple Google. Here's some cross talk from the SAAC forum: http://saacforum.com/index.php?actio...ge;topic=659.0Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Very cool conversation piece. Imagine opening your hood saying it's just a stock 302!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Would you take $50 for it?? I could put it on my '31
I did see an FE cross ram today, actually 2, one with a pair of Edelbrock Performers and the other bare. Didn't even ask the all important "How much" question eitherDave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
