Ranger and Explorer rear ends
Hi: I was wondering if any one out there have used these rear ends in a street rod? Are they the right width for a 31 Model A ?I do not want the tires sticking out past the stock fenders! Thanks Dave

I was going to use a ranger rear in my 28 model a but as I found out the axle is offset a little to one side so I picked up a mustang 8.8 instead and used two of the longer ranger axles I believe left side ones to make it 5 lug and the ranger drums they all use 28 spline axles so the interchange was easy. I am not certain but I could have swore the mustangs width was around 52 inches back to back...this web site might help you http://mjbobbitt.home.comcast.net/mustang/5lug.htmllike a volvo with gun racks.....
dropin f-bombs whenever needed....fcc my
28 model A
67 chevy c10
91 ford ranger
several beater mustangs from 80-89
Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
