    Brake Booster Vacuum Pump

Any thoughts on using an electric vacuum pump to supply a dual brake booster on a moderately Hi-perf SBC vs just a line from the engine? Any negatives? Also, can this be mounted sideways or upside down under the chassis or on the side of the frame?

    wow, thats expensive.

I've got a dozen older diesel cars/trucks. They all have belt driven vacuum pumps. No problems with them, you can find them in a junkyard for $25-$40 dollars.
    just saying....

I just took a complete Crane Cams system out of my '65 Malibu as I didn't like the sound of the compressor kicking off in the trunk when the boost pressure was depleted. Worked well but probably should have been mounted somewhere other than the trunk.

Make me an offer and I'll send you my system if that's what you are looking for! Greg
