Best A/C unit to put in a '56 Chevy

Anyone have a suggestion on the best A/C unit to put in a '56 Chevy with a 350 Motor.

I want a simple underdash unit that does not require any modification of the dash! My main concern is a clean installation that can be reversed without permanently butching up the car. I'd also appreciate any advice as to how to find a good A/C shop that could be trusted to do the installation without butchering the car!

I'm using Vintage Air on my '33, and their system seems to be well built. They have a couple of tri-5 chevy packages, but not sure you will find anything that is truly no modification under the dash. Call the VA tech line - they can walk you through it.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

IMO - Vintage Air. At least they have managed to stay in business in these economic times. Purchase from one of their sellers like Yogi's (http://www.yogisinc.com/) and you might even get some price breaks - I did.

The VA on-line catalog requires patience tho as it's all .pdf and each page needs loading time.

Installation shop - mechanically, any one that can handle a wrench competantly. To charge it, you'll need a good local shop.

Don't forget that condenser/radiator either - Walker is most often used, but there are others
