    How to prevent fender stars?

I am going to be using my car as a daily driver so I would like to hear any ideas you may have with coating the inside of the fenders to prevent rock and other debris from dinging the inside of my fenders.
    Thanks

I've heard of people using truck bed liner rolled on thick to act as a barrier. Rubberized undercoating too. Didn't someone on here recently say something about Lizard Skin? I've never had a rod with fenders so I don't know personally, but I thought I would give your thread a bump to the top so someone who knows will post.

I use a good primer on the inside fender, then applying 2 good coats of a quality rubberized undercoat. I had done this to my pro street car which was driven alot and I never once had a star on the fender.
A good truck bed liner coating will work too but that is usually rolled on when you do it your self.

Thanks guys. Don in another thread I asked about lizard skin as a sound barrier but I don't know if I asked about it as an undercoating for fenders. About a year ago when I first found their site they said it helped for preventing fender dings but they no longer claim that. Maybe they got in a little refund trouble for it.

I have been told buy a local body guy to use spray or roll on bed liner too but I didn't want to take just his word for it.

    Thanks again

I have a couple friends who have done the bed liner thing. Both of them just took the fenders to Line-X and had them spray them before final finish on the shiny side. Very durable and I bet it might even reduce road noise. If you have the fenders all prepped so all they need to do is spray them I would think it would not be too expensive either. Good insurance.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
