More silly questions.
1. How do you find your engines compression ratio?
2. How can you test/determine your engines horsepower?
3. What’s an overall suggested turbo/supercharger (price range, performance, etc..)
4. How can I engineer a car to apply only the front brakes? (Yes, I want to melt the back tires off)
5. Does anyone know the weight/horses on a 351?
6. Does anyone know the weight/horses on a 428 Interceptor?
7. What is the best engine for the price with weight to horsepower ratios figured in. (for a 67’ mustang fastback… I want to hot rod it and it to be fast so don’t worry about originality.)
8. Can you put cruise control on a manual car?
9. How do you power shift? What’s the purpose?

3. What’s an overall suggested turbo/supercharger (price range, performance, etc..)
I like supercharges. That's just me tho... Price depends what you buy 3,000 +/-
4. How can I engineer a car to apply only the front brakes? (Yes, I want to melt the back tires off)
LINE LOCK. It's an electric selonoid that goes in the front brake line. Apply the brakes, then ativate the line lock (with a button) let up on the brakes and the front brakes stay locked until u let up on the button.
wheeeew, that's all the questions I can take right now. Take it away somebody...

5. No sorry
6. No sorry
7. In my oppinion 351
8. They can come stock with it, dont know of universal kits or anything 2 put it in a vehicle without it but, theres probably somtin out there.

I believe the line lock is the preferred method for applying front brakes only~!!!! Normal braking will be a bit squirrely if you just block off the rear brake lines Matt. Can you spell safety???Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Front brakes only will cause your car to spin around 180 degrees when you stomp on the brake at any speed over 35mph. The faster you go the further you skid backwards. This can be fun if you're expecting it to happen. Not as much fun if you really HAVE to stop quick.
Put a line lock on the rear brakes too and flip the switch to lock out the rear before you hit the brakes. You can reverse direction quick when the cops are after you for melting off the tires doin a smoke show.
Now I'm waiting for Matt to explain power shifting without the clutch.

I always put the line lock in the front line, soooo I could operate the clutch and gas pedals..... Oh wait, I don't need to use the clutch. HEHEHEHE I was told the same ting about power shifting many years ago. They never demonstrated this technique tho... And to this day it has me scratchin' my head.
Reminds me of a story... got a minute??
Back when.. some friends and I was racin' 1/8 mi. I had a small block at the time with 4spd. Had a diaphram clutch you the one with many little pressure plate fingers... If I ran it over 6500 or 7000 RPM the dern cluth pedal would stick to the floor from centrifical force. When I got back to the pits this (uninformed Person) "I'm being kind here". Proceeded to explain to me how to shift. and tellin' me I don't know how to shift??? I contained myself.\
That week I replaced the pressure plate with a 3 finger pressure plate. Went back to the track and it shifted great. Pull on the shifter (verticle gate) Tap the clutch @ 6500 and by 7000 to 7500 I'm in the next gear. (Isn't that how you power shift?)
Anyway.... when I got back to the pits this same (Uninformed person) again I'm being nice. said to me "soooo I see u been practicin'". Why i didn't deckm' right there I don't know... Maybe cuz he wuz biggern' me

I do agree that the safest and best way to just use front brakes is a line lock but, cuttin the rear lines does work, In fact my friend from work just got his lines redun but, the mechanich just crimped off the rear brake lines and ripped him off, he smoked the tires up, then brought it back to the shop. Thanks fer bailin me out TechYou don't know what you've got til it's gone

The line loc is also used for launching the car without rolling thru the back beam and deep staging the car. NHRA doesn't seem to like deep staging anymore !!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
