    mini starter for 350

I have a 383 stroker in my jeep and the starter gets to hot but i can't fit a heat shield so i want to get a mini starter but I also have the chevy pick up bellhousing in it so the starter bolts into it not the block. does anyone no of a mini starter that would work

Some people may have had luck with the mini starters, but I didn't. Never could get it shimmed right and it failed after a year ($ 300 down the drain) I went back to a regular Chevy starter and it works fine. If you can't build a shield over it, how about header wrap?
