bead around the wheel wells
I just bought a 1930 Ford coupe, and like most 30's, the rear wheel well beads have been smashed in from the door jam back to the lower corner panel. The passanger side isn't as bad as the driver's side, but still needs a lot of work. What is the best fix for this problem? I have a bead roller but the largest beading madrel is only 1/2".
If by some chance you might know who sells the larger beading mandrels let me know.
I'd appreciate any help from anyone that has already gone through this part of the body work.

wheel lips ? i have pulled the wire out reworked the bead with a body hammer with a chisel type end and a heel doly and a slap file re work it the put wire back in .its a lot of time to do right .as for re rolling them the fender lip is rolled over the wire inside the fender so you can not re roll it less you take this all out then put it back in .as for the bead dies any one with a machine shop could make you rollers for the right bead size but may not work so hot on old steelIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
