    As to intake/carb - I still like the Edelbrock Performar RPM and a 780cfm Q-jet the best, but a 650 Edelbrock (1406) or a 650/750 Holley with vacuum secondaries would work well.

    Remember that Vortec heads require a Vortec manifold. Also remember that some headers will not fit Vortec heads as the spark plug hole is positioned differently and you may be able to bolt the headers on, but can not get the sparkplug boot on the plug! So make sure that the headers specify Vortec.

    So with this combo, vortec heads intake 650 holley and a .470 cam, what should i expect to make hp and torque wise

    Ask Techinspector real nice like and he's got a simulation program. My guess is 400+ on the HP and 425 on torque - but that's just a wag..

    tech inspector if youre out there could you please run this setup thru your program and tell me what to expect?? and where would you find this "dynosim"? if thats what its called
