As to intake/carb - I still like the Edelbrock Performar RPM and a 780cfm Q-jet the best, but a 650 Edelbrock (1406) or a 650/750 Holley with vacuum secondaries would work well.
Remember that Vortec heads require a Vortec manifold. Also remember that some headers will not fit Vortec heads as the spark plug hole is positioned differently and you may be able to bolt the headers on, but can not get the sparkplug boot on the plug! So make sure that the headers specify Vortec."Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil

Ask Techinspector real nice like and he's got a simulation program. My guess is 400+ on the HP and 425 on torque - but that's just a wag.."Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil

For sure!! I recall Jim's torsion bar suspension on at least one of his builds, but I'm not sure which one! Maybe the Track T?? He's a talented builder.
