my trans brake quit working! :(

Hello all, just put slicks on my '32 Ford yesterday & after using the trans brake once it quit working. First time worked fine, but when I pushed the button down the second time it didn't engage. The car just went forward. I only used it a couple of times with the old small block chev engine & just a couple of times with the new blown hemi motor. With slicks I was trying it again. Is there some part that usually breaks first on these or ???? Thanks, Bill

I would be checking for a loose wire first.
Maybe when you torqed it up it pulled a wire loose.

LOL, well maybe I should have used different wording; "rides rough", "bounces around a lot", "rides like a '32 Ford that's front end heavy"....

could be the solenoid. thats the only other thing if its not the wiring. when you push the button you should be able to hear the solenoid. That is if the eng is not running.

ah ha, yes it was low on fluid! BUT I was on my way to get fluid & my fuel pump broke! SO, can't check out the transbrake until I get a new fuel pump. I'm ordering one from Jeg's tonight.... THANK YOU Everyone!!! Bill
