    Any Lincoln Y-block Gurus here?

Need some help to i.d. an engine . its a Lincoln or truck Y-block but I cant find any references for the numbers on it.
Cast in block beside dizzy and again above starter on side of block is 5750281 .

Cast in side of heads is 5750117

cast on passenger side of block ahead of engine mount boss is 80y:2

cast on heads under the rocker gear is 80f on one head and 80h on the other.

Stamped into a machined face on the drivers side of block below head is 3-81Em

it has rams horn style manifolds with ECS9430A cast on them .

So any clever blokes out there who can help ?

I don't know. Your numbers don't seem to jive with any that should be there. Here are two sites, which you have already probably looked at:

    http://yblockguy.com/yblock_004.htm

    http://www.ford-y-block.com/Block%20identification.htm

Are you sure this is a Y block? One thing that leads me to think it is would be the rams horn manifolds, those were used on some of these engines.

    Very puzzling.

You ought to try to find a copy of this: http://books.google.com/books?id=eT7...engine&f=false

hey thanks for the links gentlemen, yes I had looked there . This thing is definately from the " big Y" family based on the lincoln , I have my suspicions that it is a 332 truck engine but would like to be able to confim that .
I have a post over on the hamb with some photos

I think its a 317 used in Lincoln's and trucks the call it a y block but i don't think any of the parts interchange with 239 272 292 or 312 if you look at it I am sure you will find it does not have the stacked intake ports like the ford y block if you go on e bay type in y block these show up from time to time as far as I can tell there is no speed equipt. made for these sooo if ya got a boat all ya need is a chain......ted
