    3 wire GM Alternater

I don't want to sound dumb but her goes. I have a 3 wire GM alt, I know the one wire goes to the battery and the 2 pin plug one goes to the Horn relay and the other one is for the idiot light. here's my question, if I do not have an idiot light what do I do with that wire ? I have looked on the internet but have not forund the awnser, so I came to the place that can give me the awnser.

I believe one wire goes to your ignition switch run side to turn on the voltage regulator and the other goes to the idiot light. If you aren't using the idiot light remove it from the plug.

Here's a good write up: http://www.madelectrical.com/electri...evymain1.shtml along with an even simpler sketch below. If you don't have the alternator plug, they are available at most good auto parts stores for 3-4 bucks.
