you do realize that to gain that 1/2 of piston travel that you will need about 3 or 4 inches more pedal travel?????
You might want to do a little more thinking on this as a human cannot move his foot at the speed necessary to use that much pedal
The problem seems to be in your pedal assy---thats what you need to change--not the length of the arc, the diameter of the cylinder, etc

Jerry,
I really appreciate your comment. Last night I measured a bunch, made a pattern of the pedal arc and determined the added 2.5" of travel needed at the top. Looking at it, the way the pedal assembly (which came as an assembled master cylinder bracket/pedal assembly from Pete & Jake's) is mounted there's three full inches of pedal arm (the arched part) outside the body, so adding 2.5" is not a bad approach - it is still shorter than Henry designed for foot travel, and I know another guy that used the approach on his car, too and it works just fine. I thought that I could notch the floor, but it hits too far up on the pedal, so extending the arc is the only thing that works. Thanks for questioning my idea - it is good to think through it again!!Last edited by rspears; 10-07-2010 at 05:42 AM. Reason: Another look....

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.
Visited a family member at Dockery Ford from the time I was 1 year old through their ownership and then ownership change to Morristown Ford. Dockery was a major player in the Hi Performance...
