    ECI 7" brake booster

Anyone know the source the 7" ECI brake booster is from or what car it comes from?

No car in particular. It's based on a booster used on several Japanese cars in the 70s, but modified to make it more universal. Originally they came from Japan, but most of the new ones are made in China. For my money, they don't give enough boost to be worthwhile. The 7" double diaphram works much better. And on most of my builds, I use an 8" Fox Mustang dual diaphram booster.
Anyone can restore an old car, it takes a man to cut one up

I wish I had room for the double diaphragm booster. You are right about the single version's lack of boost. My brakes feel like manual brakes.
