There is no frame in a '63 Falcon. And the springs have nothing to do with getting the motor in place other than being in the way. With a S10 clip change, one call to Eaton Detroit Spring will have the correct springs on the way the following day and off-the-shelf headers are available.
There is probably a way to do it if you use cast iron exhaust manifolds and beat hell out of the shock towers with a BFH, but the stock manifolds will give up about 60 hp to a good set of headers. If I had to use manifolds, I'd re-think the whole project in the first place.
And for the last time in this thread, the OP did not ask about installing a 351W, he asked about installing a 350. Now, I took this to mean a 350 Chevy, but Jerry Clayton said the OP just said 350 and maybe it could be another kind of 350. Well, I guess it could be a 308 Hudson poked and stroked to 350, but I doubt it. It could also be a 350 Pontiac or 350 Buick or 350 Oldsmobile, but I doubt that also.Last edited by techinspector1; 10-27-2010 at 05:13 PM.
Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
How did you get hooked on cars?
