Barb should be able to run out to here Monte and measure that up for you, Steve. She is intimately familiar with those things now.

big block ford may work better???? i gone to the bone yard more then one time looking for pulleys with the right off set to speed up or slow down the water pump . bbc chevy has a long and short water pump so there two depths on pulleys . measure from water pump hub to the water pump body or any thing that hits first and i can tell you what pump pulley may work .all my stuff was single groove so from there the bottom pulley may not line up i cut alum spacers up and re cut the damper pilot out bigger on the lathe. i have some skin on my back now so i can take a ride to my shop in a day or two if that works for you

A lot will depend on which lower pulley you have. Up until the mid/late 70's Cadillac used the setup shown in the first picture where the WP is actuallly driven by a belt off the smog pump and a seperate belt drives the alternator.

The exception to this was the 70 only setup that does not use a smog pump. and the lower pulley sets further out from the crankshaft and lines up with the water pump and alternator (second picture).

The late 70's 425 used a a set up that was about the same (but I don;t have a picture of that setup).

If you can use a pulley like shown in the second picture, I think I have one out in the shed I can get the the diameter and back spacing from.

Thanks Mike those pics help a lot, All i have is the crank pulley bits, Marty at MTS told me the pulleys are between 6-7 inches in diameter but don't have the large backspace a Chevy does.
I'm going to look at it this morning and work out what i need.
