    Got a new project-got questions

I bought an 87 grand prix cheap. My friend is selling me his lt1 and six speed since he is upgrading to an ls1. Im thinkin this should be a nice cruiser. I was wondering if any of the other g body nose cones would fit on this car? I would prefer a cutlass or regal front clip to the pontiac one.
And I was wondering if 17x9 rims with a 5 inch backspace would clear. I wanna run a 275/40 tire. The diameter calc says its 25.66" high.
I also need to know if i can run mech. gauges. the lt1 is from a roadmaster and the six speed is from an f body

    thanks

mech guages just require mech hookups---oil pressure, a tee in the system so you can still feed info to the computer, and a sending unit screwed into the head for the temp guage

Check out Mike P's El Camino withe Monte Carlo front end; he did an awesome job and it sounds like it's what you're looking to do. Should be a great combo!
