1950 chevrolet pickup questions?
ok well i bought a 1950 or 51 not sure pickup awhile back and am in the middle of trying to turn it into a hot rod that can be driven as a daily driver. The truck had been started being restored about 20 years ago and someone install a firebird rear end in it with drum brakes and i want to leave to stock front suspension set up and steering but will be running a 350(hopefully the stock parts can handle the weight), but the master cylinder is corroded right to nothing now so i was wondering is it possible to just purchase a brake booster/master cylinder kit and bolt it into the stock location on the frame rail and have power brakes?? if so any recommendations on the correct on would be nice. As well i do not have my motor back yet but am almost ready to prime the truck and was wondering if i have to remove the stock e-brake set up or if it will work i have been told that if i use a v8 i have to remove it and install a different set up. Thanks
