    To Save On Rental Costs

Well this was new one to me.
Went to visit a buddy, who's the service manager at the local Chrysler dealership today, happened to be there when a car rental agent came to pick up one of their almost new rental vans that wouldn't start last week. Apparently the last customer who had rented it filled the tank half and half, (water and gas),to save a buck! Well, good job it was really cold last week, the water froze, still the total bill was almost 600 bucks...........

Man; sometimes I reckon the gene pool could do with a hefty dollop of chlorine!
What hare-brained idjit managed to think of that?

Way-back-when evolution and the food chain would have dealt with people like that...but now?

I just heard about this same problem with people who rent U Haul and Ryder trucks. You have to return them with the same amount of gas that was in them when you left, so some genius' are filling them up with water! Uh, don't they realize they have left their name, address, and credit card info with the rental people?? One U Haul dealer said it caused $ 2,000 in damages to his truck.

On a similar note, I have heard that some people are abusing the Road Ranger program where they will bring you 5 Gallons of gas if you run out. They are finding the same people over and over "running out of gas." People are just wonderful, aren't we?????

Everyone knows about water injection, These smart people were just trying skip all the unneeded plumbing. One of the local Arco stations must have been trying to help us little guys out some years ago when they added a little water to their gas. Filled my near empty Scout up one day and started to run like crap about 5 min. later. Couldn't find the problem to save my life. Then I refilled the near empty tank again at another station and the problem soon went away. Never went to that Arco again.
