    Mopar anti-rattle springs

I seem to have misplaced the "anti-rattle" springs that attach to one end of the "strut" (Mopar's nomenclature) for my 1968 B-body 10" rear brakes. As I recall, it was a lightweight spring. The repair manual shows it as an "anti-rattle" spring, but I cannot find a part number anywhere. I've done quite a bit of searching, but I can't seem to find any more information on it. I've visited the hardware store, trying to find a suitable replacement, but that hasn't worked out either. Does anyone have any knowledge of this elusive part? A part number, a source to purchase from, or anyone have two they would be willing to part with? Thanks.

Are you talking about the spring that helps hold the shoe to the backing plate? I would think most of the brake peices are available from a parts store, you may have to buy them as part of a kit.
How many lumps ya want with that?

he`s talking about the strut bar that runs between the two shoes just below the wheel cylinder, I think they come with a spring kit, but not sure...if all else fails go to any you pull it, there will be a million out there.

Tried stopping in at the local NAPA in my search, even though their on-line look-up failed to show me anything. It was a last ditch effort before I went on-line with the website just provided to me for the springs (from another forum). The counter guy, who is very knowledgeable, pulled out a tattered, dirty, well worn paper catalog, and found exactly what I needed. In the event anyone needs these springs, the NAPA part no. is NAPA #80744. Just goes to show how valuable a savvy parts guy, with an old paper catalog can be. Computerized inventories for the parts houses are three steps backwards IMO.
