White dust coming out of my vents?
Why the heck does this white dandruff-looking dust come out of all my vents every time I turn on the heat/AC?
It doesn't smell and stops after a few seconds, but it's a mess and makes my black interior look like Elvis with a scalp condition.Andy

it could be coming from your heater coil. mine was leaking and when i pulled it there was alot of white dust around it from where the antifreeze had leaked out and dried.BARB

I have seen people put talcom powder into the vents as a practical joke on a new bride and grooms car before so that when they leave the reception and turn on there heaters they get covered in white powder.
we used to also play the same trick on the drummers in the rock bands when i was a sound engineer lol, we would sneak on stage during there break, and pour baby powder all over the snare drum. when they got back on stage to start the next set the drummer would hit his snare, and the white powder woud cover him and everyone else on stage, it looked so kool and funny with the stage lights highlighting the cloud of white dust lol. the unsuspecting drummers were not impressed with our little jokes.
