I feel like such a dummy... anyone done this before?
Just to put some story to this, I decided that the weather was beautiful out this weekend and I would clean the driveway and side of the garage up. I started moving all the junks around and picking up all the parts and trash that the melted snow had uncovered. Well, as I was moving the last running junk out of the drive so I could back my pick up in to load all the trash up, it would seem that the wheel chock, melting snow and possible movement of the earth may be, sprung the non runner parked at the top out of gear. As fate would have it this old truck took off on an unmanned rampage down the drive across the street across the lawns and side walks across the street stopping at the front doors to the old folks home, luckily no women, children or passing cars were targets. I don't think anyone saw me until I realized that all the tools under the hood had scattered all over the street...I didn't stop to pick them up, I just made a mad dash to move the truck to safety. Then some idiot ran them over stopped and helped me pick them up....boy did he and I feel stupid. Nuthin like a run away truck or running over a 7/8 polished combo wrench...Last edited by rattymodelA; 03-02-2004 at 09:21 AM.

That's funny about calling out the car models going by, that's one of my early memories sitting on a bus stop bench with my mom enthusiastically calling out the cool cars going by, I was about 4 or 5...
How did you get hooked on cars?
