    Pipe plug wont come out

Hey Guys need some help. I got a used aluminun intake manifold off ebay and trying to get two fittings out of this manifold. One is a brass plug and the other is a bypass hose fitting. I am afraid if use vise grips i might strip them and never get them out. I tried wd-40 and some heat and noting. Any ideas befor i take to a machine shop.

If you can get a narrow hacksaw blade down the inside, sometimes you can saw through most of hit and then tap it on the outside with a hammer and sharp chisel.Brian

When you use heat make sure you heat the area not the plug and heat it fast and hot. Then spray some Kroil oil on it and remove it. A couple of hits on the plug with a hammer and keep spraying Kroil oil on it. If the plug gets hot you will have to wait until all cools down and start over. A last resort is to drill the plug and use an easy out.
    Good luck,

Also heat the area and run some paraffin into the joint - you can buy it at most any big box store or Walmart in the home section. I usually use PB Blaster tho Kroil is better but not easily found. If the hose bypass is just tubing, you can crush it then remove it easily, but many aluminum intakes have been damaged by being too rough with them.
